Dr. Wilkinson attended the University of California, Irvine, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Loma Linda University. He decided to become a dentist because it allowed him to work with his hands while also expanding his love for science. He says the instant gratification of seeing someone’s smile cared for is both professionally fulfilling and personally rewarding.
His continuing education certifications include Endodontics, Implant Placement and Restoration from the Garg Implant Seminars, Conscious Sedation Certification, Advanced Aesthetics in Veneer, and Crown Placement
Dr. Wilkinson’s Professional Affiliations and Memberships include Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association (ADA), Tennessee Dental Association (TDA, Chattanooga Dental Society.
Before opening Shallowford Smiles, Dr. Wilkinson practiced as an associate elsewhere. His deep dedication to his patients led him to venture out on his own, giving him the freedom to provide more personalized care. His belief in listening carefully to your concerns, offering the best options available, and delivering care in the most effective and comfortable way possible has become the philosophy of our Chattanooga practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Wilkinson provides his services by volunteering at Hope for the Inner City, which brings affordable dental care to the underserved communities of Chattanooga.
When he isn’t busy seeing his patients, Dr. Wilkinson spends as much time as possible with his two beautiful children. They both attend St. Nicholas School, where Dr. Wilkinson helps coach the rock climbing team. His family is active and on the go, either with rock climbing, horseback riding, or family festivities.
